Twenty Three years ago on this day 20th April 1998, Bill Gates and Microsoft unveiled their new Windows 1998 operating system. Several great enhancements were promised such as robust USB support, Enhanced Graphic Support, and the introduction of the Windows Driver Model (WDM).
So far so good, unfortunately at a COMDEX computer trade show in 1998 while demonstrating admittedly a Beta version, bosh the dreaded B.S.O.D. reared its head.
Over the years here at Twin Systems we’ve had our fair share of Blue Screens, (although not normally due to a Windows update). That’s what happened with the latest Windows 10 20H2 patch, the good news is we only allow our clients these updates when we know they are as safe as possible (obviously security patches/updates take priority).
Twin Systems – we have always got your back.
