You may have read in the press that both National Grid and the Government are talking about the possibility of ‘rolling blackouts due to pressure on the UK’s power supply and whilst this seems unlikely, we are pleased to be able to reassure our clients that we have extensive contingency plans to alleviate the liability of blackouts.

The state-of-the-art data centre in Harlow is equipped with UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) systems, which immediately pick up the full load if mains power is ever interrupted. Whilst the UPS systems keep the buildings and critical power load online, the generators start taking the load which will operate indefinitely if necessary, and all our systems have robust maintenance plans.

We currently have some rack space available and would be happy to discuss providing you with additional capacity – on a short-term basis if required – if you have uptime-critical equipment currently housed at your office.
